Thousands evacuated from Fresh Festival in Croatia due to forest fires
Local forest fires brought Croatia’s Fresh Island Festival to a halt Tuesday morning, as thousands of attendees were forced to evacuate. The cause of the fire is still unclear, though local officials have confirmed the blaze began in a pine forest just a few miles from the beachfront festival on Pag, a northern island along the Adriatic Sea. No injuries have been reported.
Three firefighting planes were dispatched to extinguish the fire, which temporarily consumed nearby roads. Ante Dabo, mayor of the nearby town Novalja, told national radio that nobody had been injured and that the fire was under control.

The hip-hop and R&B event was forced to cancel the headlining set of rapper Tyga, but has announced their Facebook that the festival would re-open its doors Tuesday afternoon.
