Tiësto drops guitar-led pop soother, 'BLUE,' featuring Stevie Appleton – EDM All Day
The Grammy-winning, platinum-certified, Dutch DJ who needs no formal introduction, Tiësto, recently dropped off his new offering, “BLUE” featuring Stevie Appleton, through Republic / Casablanca Records. It’s a pop-leaning soother with folksy vocals and calming melodies notably redolent of Milky Chance’s “Stolen Dance.”
“BLUE” marks a detion from the superstar producer’s preeminent big room house practices. He’s been showing his versatility within the pop realm lately with successful releases like “Ritual” featuring Jonas Blue and Rita Ora and “God Is A Dancer” with Mabel. And that’s not to mention last year’s hit single, “Jackie Chan,” with Post Malone, Dzeko, and Preme, which recently passed the 1 billion stream mark.
Tiësto passed along a quote in a recent release: “I wanted to end the year with a track that is a different vibe for me – the exploration of different sounds and styles is what keeps things fresh and energizing for me as an artist.”
