Township Rebellion team up with Flanko for a superb return to Truesoul

Continuing their love of collaborations, Township Rebellion return to Truesoul with another sublime two-track outing, this time teaming up with the rising DJ and producer Flanko.

German collective Township Rebellion have been in plum form in recent times, their two contributions to Truesoul ‘Bohemia / Mephisto‘ and ‘Expand Now / Adriana Said‘ produced alongside Victor Pilava and NoNameLeft respectively were proof in point.

On the live front, they also delivered a strong performance at Drumcode‘s Drumsheds show in March on the Truesoul stage. It’s been exciting to see them develop and become mainstays of the label.

Their latest offering sees them broaden their sonic palette, as their signature rolling progressive sound, rubs shoulders with darker techno realms via a link up with their friend Flanko, a producer with credits on Senso and Set About to his name.

‘Your Reality‘ is a big barreling ace, six minutes of enveloping synth layers, dreamy vocal clips and pummeling bass. This is beauty and power in full motion. Stunning. ‘My Prophecy‘ is another delicious juxtaposition of dark and light, as organic bass and gritty techno drums find harmony alongside exquisite melodies, all topped off by the producers’ exquisite sound design.

“Music shouldn’t have boundaries, so we often thought about combining our melodic sound with the cosmos of dark techno. And we always loved the moment of surprise of bringing harder techno into our sets. This appreciation is what formed our series of collaborative releases on Truesoul.

Now we are back with two new tracks we made with Berlin based DJ/Producer and very good Friend Flanko. Hopefully creating another fusion of genres that you enjoy as much as we do.” 

Speaking about the collaboration, Flanko said:

“It was a huge honor for me to have the opportunity to produce these two tracks with my friends Township Rebellion. I love how the tracks combine both signature sounds. On one side it’s melodic and dreamy and on the other side driving, dark and punchy. Can’t wait for the release on Truesoul!”
