Travis Barker and Illenium release an anthemic pop-rock remake of 'Good Things Fall Apart'
Blink-182‘s famed drummer Travis Barker has teamed up with Illenium on a pop-rock remix of “Good Things Fall Apart” featuring Jon Bellion that showcases a ble dance music crossover. With Barker’s live percussion arrangement, Bellion’s anthemic vocals, and Illenium’s melody play, the kinetic remix fits like an effortless puzzle.
In a press release, Barker said, “In my head I pictured all these other parts and sounds from the moment I heard the song. I recorded drums first with all the other parts in my head and then built around it. It was such a well written song already it made my job easy.” A video of Barker drumming was posted on YouTube along with the edit.
This is a timely crossover as Blink-182’s collaboration with The Chainsmokers is set for release Dec. 6. The tune, “P.S. I Hope You’re Happy,” is part of their final set of releases for World War Joy.
Illenium continues his ASCEND Tour, with upcoming performances at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California on Dec. 6 and at Los Angeles’ famed STAPLES Center Dec. 7.
