Unreleased version of Jay-Z's 'Holy Grail' featuring The-Dream now available to stream
Recently accomplished songwriters and producers The-Dream and Sean Garrett dug through their respective discographies in a rare four-hour livestream. During the stream, the two also took an exclusive dive into their vaults of unreleased music. One song in particular captured the attention of fans: a previously unreleased version of Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake‘s 2013 smash hit “Holy Grail.”
The official version of “Holy Grail” that topped charts was the centerpiece of JAY’s Magna Carta Holy Grail LP, though this unused version has The-Dream taking over Timberlake’s vocal sections. Though The-Dream is credited for co-writing and producing the hit officially, this is the first time fans have heard his voice on the track.
“JAY’s probably gonna kill me for playing this,” said The-Dream during the livestream. But evidently, the fans’ reaction called for an actual release, as the new version appeared on TIDAL for fans to stream shortly thereafter. Check out the unreleased cut of “Holy Grail” below.
