Quality Goods label head and seasoned trap producer UZ has announced he will embark on a lengthy North American tour, kicking off in April 2018. The Rebirth Tour, Part 1 will come alongside the release of UZ’s second LP, of the same name.
So far, the tour roster includes stops in Chicago, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Denver, and more, including a Canadian leg in Vancouver and Calgary, with more destinations yet to be confirmed. UZ has also lined up special guests for the tour including Stööki Sound, sfam, as well as Layers remixer and fellow Quality Goods artist, sumthin sumthin.
The announcement follows the formerly masked Frenchman’s 2017 debut LP Layers, which as the name suggests, demonstrates the depth of UZ’s production capabilities, which extend far beyond his trap-savvy stature.
“I’m stoked to soon unveil this LP as it’s been a super rewarding process heading back to my original ‘Trap Shit’ sound,” UZ says of the forthcoming album. “There’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes & can’t wait for my fans to hear it! The tour will be a special one too as I get to share the experience with some of my Quality Goods homies, including Stööki Sound. There will be plenty of surprises along the way, so keep an eye out and catch you there.”
Additionally, UZ has unveiled his unofficial remix of rap icon 21 Savage‘s “No Heart.” UZ’s trap rendition is an instrumental take on the original’s straightforward rap loop, with intricately layered percussion, ambient sampling, and a vapory, floating melody.
