Vincent Poag Showcases Sonic Versatility In New Album Masquerade
NYC-based singer-songwriter Vincent Poag is showing the extent of his sonic versatility in his newly released collection of songs, the album Masquerade. With 12 timeless songs, this album is truly a one-of-its-kind record that fuses a wide array of genres into its soundscapes. Vincent Poag’s catchy melodies and lyrics swirling with emotions come together magnificently in each of the songs.
Mostly known for the singles “This Christmas” off his debut CD Circling Back, “America” and “Stress,” with its rhythmic Island sound, Vincnet Poag has had great successes, including landing at #5 on the FMQB/ACQB chart, alongside artists like OneRepublic, Adele, and Coldplay.
The Massapequa, Long Island-native was raised during the 50’s, a time that saw the culture of the Broadway musical era at its peak. As a teenager, Poag saw singers like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley give way to a unique new breed of musician, the singer-songwriter.
Bob Dylan remains the artist that mostly inspired Vincent Poag into choosing a music path. His storytelling abilities and innate talent to create simple yet heartfelt melodies have helped him conquer millions of fans around the world.
Masquerade is his latest project and one of his most polished and original works to date, set to further expand his repertoire and followers worldwide.
