Vulgatron, formerly of Foreign Beggars, launches new project on Never Say Die
After 17 years, the grime veterans Foreign Beggars, best known for their work on Skrillex‘s brostep screamer “Still Getting It” and their joint effort with Noisia on collaborative album I Am Legion, broke up in 2019 to pursue new ventures. Now, Vulgatron, a vocalist from the now-defunct the group, arrives on the scene with his debut solo track, “Deadman,” featuring Mark The Beast and Nitepunk on production duty. Also released with Vulgatron’s debut is a heavier remix of “Deadman” from Krimer. Both tracks were released on SKisM and Nick Sadler’s bomb-dropping Never Say Die imprint.
The original runs wild with Vulgatron’s grime vocals racing across gritty bass and growing tension. Listeners then run into melodic filtered bass and heavy metal percussion rides that create an intentional atmosphere of harmonic lunacy. The heavily percussive track contrasts nicely with the UK rapper’s high energy and aggressive pace.
