WARM (World Airplay Radio Monitor), the industry’s leading radio airplay monitoring service, has launched its genre-specific Global Radio Charts initiative. Breaking away from traditional Top 40 formats, the Global Dance Radio Chart made its debut on November 8th, 2024.
The new chart series uses WARM’s advanced audio fingerprinting technology to deliver specialized, genre-focused analytics. The system monitors global radio stations continuously, providing precise, real-time airplay tracking.
Jesper Skibsby, WARM’s Founder and CEO, explains the shift: “Traditional Top 40 charts don’t tell the full story, especially for genre-specific music. Our genre-based approach gives industry professionals exactly what they need – clear, actionable insights into their musical space, helping them identify hit songs and trends before they hit the mainstream.”
Subscribers receive weekly chart updates every Friday, with detailed analysis of genre-specific radio performance worldwide. Following the Global Dance Chart’s success, WARM plans to launch more genre-specific charts. The company welcomes subscriber suggestions for radio stations to include in the monitoring pool.
In the coming months, WARM will introduce additional genre-specific charts, each designed to provide targeted insights for distinct musical categories and markets, furthering the company’s commitment to innovation.
This initiative marks a breakthrough in airplay monitoring technology, giving the music industry sophisticated, genre-specific analytics for tracking global radio performance.
