Watch Diplo bring out Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus at Stagecoach to debut his remix of 'Old Town Road'
Diplo is constantly out here doing what he can for the culture—the latest culture corner he’s honed in on being that of country music. As if his head-first dive into country wasn’t publicized enough, he added a big splash to his closing performance at Stagecoach Music Festival by bringing out Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus to debut his official remix of “Old Town Road.”
After initially getting booted from the country Billboard charts, the number one song in America has seen a viral surge of popularity to the point of mass meltdowns when Lil Nas X made his appearance at the nation’s highest grossing country music festival.
The crowd is even overpowering the artists and sound system themselves, crooning along to the memorable hook and even both verses from the crossover artist and Billy Ray Cyrus. Whether it’s Diplo’s unmatched knack for striking the current wave or his new country persona Thomas Wesley is actually here to stay, there’s no denying that no matter what culture Diplo is doing it for, he always goes all in. See the clip of him performing at Stagecoach below.
