Watch YouTuber recreate Camelphat's 'Cola' with actual Coca-Cola bottles

Camelphat‘s Grammy-nominated smash hit “Cola” has received a zany cover treatment by an instrumentalist that decided to recreate the track with a literal spin—using actual Coca-Cola bottles. Reproducing the instrumentals using various Coca-Cola containers and splicing together the resulting sounds, YouTube creator JJ Riordan teamed up with vocalist Pat O’Donnell in a fun, and entirely spot-on rendition of “Cola.” Riordan’s technique to create each effect ranges from dropping bottle tops on top of one another, whistling into liters to flicking cans—starring Coca-Cola containers of all materials and sizes. He has also done other renditions along the same lines including performing Drake‘s “Passionfruit” with real fruit and making “fire beats” with fire.

In 2017, “Cola” catapulted Camelphat to the forefront of the tech house scene while simultaneously dominating as Beatport’s No. 1 track of the year. The Elderbrook collaboration’s intoxicating club sensibility found success as an anthem in its own right and earned prolific remixes from Robin Schulz, ZHU, and Franky Rizardo.
