EDM All Day

Welcome back, old KSHMR! Everyone is happy about “Bad”, should we join the party?

• “Secrets” structure with “Everytime We Touch” melody
• But screw it, it’s fun and energetic
• Slight W&W touch on the kicks

My craving for some quality big room is so high that I’m ecstatic about a song that is blatantly “Secrets 2.0″ without much effort added. And the melody weirdly resembles “Everytime We Touch”.

But you know what? I’m tired of reviewing music and getting annoyed by sampled melodies and unoriginal ideas. It’s clear that 2025 is lacking direction. Finding something truly innovative every time is draining. W&W and KSHMR sat down, decided to create something from the old days: it’s very enjoyable, and we’re all happy. If “Bad” had been released in 2017, I would have tagged it as unoriginal. In 2025, it’s a breath of fresh air (or should I say old air?).

The melody is very similar to “Everytime We Touch”, but the note switch is super KSHMR. Loved the concept, it immediately felt like one of his ideas. W&W added the bouncy kick, reminiscent of their Happy Hardcore sound, but it doesn’t hit as hard as I wanted. A hardstyle finale would have been the cherry on top, but I agree it doesn’t fit with the more commercial line of the single.

The drop is gorgeous. I’m just putting it on replay and can already imagine clubs dancing to these notes. Extremely catchy.

Overall, “Bad” is a banger. KSHMR picked a lot from Secrets, maybe too much, but the melody works, the drop is very danceable, old fans are happy, and I’m not here to ruin the party. Sigh-approved.
