WhoMadeWho continues their album rollout with “Love Will Save Me”
“Love Will Save Me” by WhoMadeWho featuring RY X represents a harmonious blend of indie electronic sounds and haunting vocals. It embodies a unified love for music and serves as a response to societal divisions, showcasing the artists’ creative synergy and depth of emotion.
By releasing the sound-enticing song “Love Will Save Me” with GRAMMY-nominated artist and producer RY X, WhoMadeWho keeps up their early-year momentum without missing a beat. Their new studio album will be out in May, following their current world tour. This five-minute song is the third single from the album. The band’s latest release is a simple piece of indie electronic bliss, driven forward by RY X’s moving chorus. “Love Will Save Me” is out now through The Moment.
Their last song, “Children,” was a huge hit right away, and Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1) called it his “Essential Tune.” As a follow-up to the success of “Children,” WhoMadeWho gives us another sneak peek at the tracklist for LP #9.
Creating this song was magic and almost too easy. The basics were made in split seconds, with quite a lot of vocal parts from our side. Ry then cut it down to two lines, wrote the verses, and added some beautiful harmonies to the chorus. And boom it was done. Wish all music was so easy and fun to make. It was a huge honor to meet Ry X in his home in California and to get to work with him. ‘Love Will Save Me’ ended up as a unified manifest of our common love of music. Materializing the beauty of working together in a world full of intensifying division. – WhoMadeWho
“Love Will Save Me” is a melodic platter of blissed-out sounds that draws on WhoMadeWho’s indie electronic background. The Australian singer-songwriter RY X is featured on the track. His haunting singing and touching acoustics give the track more depth.
It’s a joy to collaborate with artists you connect to and respect, creatively and personally. I have always enjoyed the soundscapes and worlds that WhoMadeWho creates, and am happy this co-creation came to be. When I first heard the beginnings of this song I felt an immediate tinge of nostalgia, something beckoning of times just gone, and I wanted to bring further depth to that sensation of what had barely left the fingertips of my being. ‘Love Will Save Me’ became an unexpected anthem to sing from an eternally tender heart. – Ry X
During their world tour, which began at the end of 2023, WhoMadeWho’s stage setup, a work they made with the famous architecture group BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), becomes a visual representation of their musical exploration. The stage design goes beyond what you normally see at a show and was recently featured in designboom, Arch Daily, and Dezeen.
WhoMadeWho will now be playing at the Venice Carnival, Estereo Picnic (Colombia), Caprices Festival (Switzerland), DGTL AMS (Amsterdam), Festival Vaivén (Mexico), and more.
