Once upon a time, Yellow Claw and Skrillex were working on a track rumored to be called “Rawhide.” Fans were abuzz about the collaboration, chomping at the bit for its release. As the months ticked by, however, news surfaced that the collaboration in its original form had been scrapped, and Yellow Claw teamed up with DJ Snake to recover the unfinished tune.
Now out in its new form under the name “Public Enemy,” the Yellow Claw/DJ Snake collaboration is a whirling ball of chaos. With feisty, choppy vocals that heighten anticipation from the get-go, “Public Enemy” is primed for the main stage. It builds up to a rambunctious drop, reminiscent of an alarm gone haywire.
While fans of the Skrillex version may be disheartened knowing they’ll never get the song in its original concept, Yellow Claw and DJ Snake have devised their own creation that’s equally energy-packed and sure to delight festival-goers all summer long.
