ZHU and NGHTMRE paint a fierce, visceral portrait of 'Man's First Inhibition'
The dance music stars have aligned to deliver listeners one of the most anticipated, high-profile collaborations of the year—between house/electronica enigma, ZHU and Gud Vibrations guru and one of the scene’s most pervasive bass purveyors, NGHTMRE.
Entering with an ominous, almost extraterrestrial synth line, “Man’s First Inhibition” moves back down towards earth, and inward, as ZHU’s distinctly sultry, anesthetizing vocals beckon to disarm a guarded lover. Soon Kidd Keem’s spitting rhymes flood over the strobe-y melody/trap percussion. The track is most certainly a dual endeavor, pairing NGHTMRE’s penchant for serrated bass with ZHU’s oddly intoxicating, preternatural production and vocal accents alike.
“Man’s First Inhibition” is out now Ultra Music.
