Ziggo Dome Hosts A Live Event for COVID Experiment
As part of a public health experiment, around 1,300 people went clubbing at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome. The first-ever live event in the Netherlands, following the global shutdown due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Several famous DJs performed at the event, such as Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Sam Feldt, Lucas & Steve, and Lady Bee.
The event took place on Saturday, March 6th of this year. The audience was divided into different bubbles, each with its distinct Coronavirus rules and restrictions. In some bubbles wearing a mask was mandatory, while in others, it was not.
The event was organized by Mojo, ID & T, and Fiedldlab Evenementen, and it is part of a series of eight experimental events. The rest have included a conference, a theatre performance, and a football match.
Before the event, all the attendees were tested for the coronavirus; they were also tested after the event. Additionally, all of them were wearing motion sensors to evaluate the physical contacts among the attendees.
Around 180,000 people have shown interest in joining the Corona proof party; however, all the tickets were sold out in a matter of 20 minutes.
The future of clubbing is still unknown, while the pandemic persistently courses through the public.
