Dillon Francis shows there's 'Nuthin' 2 It' with release of new track and accompanying music video
Dillon Francis has been a busy, busy man this summer, debuting on Monstercat and releasing a new collab what seems like every other week, all while serving as a resident DJ in Las Vegas and squeezing in a few international shows here and there.
On Aug. 28, the producer-turned-DJ-turned-infectious-internet-personality continues his hot streak with the release of the oft-teased and distinctly memorable “GO OFF (Nuthin’ 2 It).” Of course, because there’s “nuthin’ 2 it,” fans are also treated to the simultaneous drop of the song’s music video.
The new release show Francis returning to Mad Decent, the Diplo-led recording conglomerate where the California native’s ironically iconic rise began years ago. “GO OFF (Nuthin’ 2 It)” is built around its commanding vocal sample, which in itself is half sass, half soul and all Dillon, but it’s the accompanying harmonies and jukin’ bassline that give it his signature club-ready sheen.
“GO OFF (Nuthin’ 2 It)” is the first track from Francis’ upcoming Magic is Real mixtape, which will be dropping new songs every two weeks starting starting Aug. 28.
