“NFT Can Completely Revolutionize The Music Industry” According To Calvin Harris
The electro-pop and house music DJ Calvin Harries has recently commented on the NFT craze saying that the digital tokens got everything needed to restructure the creative industry and more specifically, the music world. Harries appeared in a Clubhouse program called “Good Time Show” to share his thoughts around the rise of NFT in the music industry.
“I thought: ‘Wow, this is a whole new tool for creativity that isn’t policed by radio or streaming or someone from the label or any of this stuff. It’s a whole new avenue that you can really just put out whatever you want, and that’s kind of how music should be, but it really isn’t,” he explained.
Harries ended the talk with a note of encouragement, asking everyone to dive into the game and support the craze.
“So that got me really, really excited. And then seeing what 3lau’s been doing, and just thinking: We need to be a part of this. We need to make this a bigger deal, and we need everyone to do this,” the award-winning DJ stated.
Despite the countless number criticism targeted toward the NFT from environment activists, it seems that the hype is still on, and there is an undeniable bandwagon effect. Following Grimes’ footprints, a crowd of musicians followed her lead.
