Avicii’s Legacy Lives On with A Memorial Site In Stockholm
Following the death of the globally known EDM star in 2018, a memorial site is set to be built in the district of Östermalm, Stockholm.
The news came from Sweden’s national daily paper, Dagens Nyheter, and was later confirmed by the district committee chair Andréa Hedin.
Avicii’s father, Klas Bergling, has quickly reacted to the news saying:
“We feel honored that the district committee is taking this initiative. This place will give the opportunity to remember Tim and his music that has meant and still means so much to many people around the world.”
Klas has also founded the Tim Berglin Foundation aiming to lift the global stigma around mental health.
Tim Bergling, known as Avicii, was 28 when he took his own life in Muscat, Oman, shocking millions of fans internationally.
Despite Tim leaving us early, his legacy is carried out through what his family, friends, and fans are doing.
They still have not released the official opening date for the site.
