Bon Iver return with two new singles in tow, 'Hey Ma' and 'U (Man Like)'
Two brand new Bon Iver singles have made their way to all major streaming platforms after originally debuting during Bon Iver’s performance at All Points East festival. “Hey Ma” and “U (Man Like)” are the first two previews of a Bon Iver album to eventually follow. According to a press release, the singles derive from an extended Bon Iver effort that will gain a release at a later point. The ensuing album will succeed the indie folk band’s 2016 longform production, 22, A Million.
Sonically, “Hey Ma” and “U (Man Like)” surface as dulcet showings that foreground the honey vocals of Bon Iver frontman, Justin Vernon. Bon Iver’s announcement of additional dates for their 2019 fall tour flanks the two-pronged release. The live initiative will see Indigo Girls, Feist, Yo La Tengo, and Sharon Van Etten provide city-specific support for Bon Iver.
