Good Morning Mix: Revisit Drezo's menacing 'Diplo and Friends' mix [Stream]
When Diplo proclaims an artist to be “one of the best and one of the deepest, darkest house producers in the game,” you pay attention. Drezo’s one-hour Diplo and Friends mix captured our attention in 2017 and hasn’t let go since. The Los Angeles based-producer is constantly pushing the boundaries of the house genre with originals spanning from tech-house to bass-house with some evident hip-hop inspiration.
The Diplo and Friends mix came fresh off the release of Drezo’s Jaded EP, as the producer spun that trio of songs, “Jaded,” “Dead,” and “Real” with more of his signature mononym originals. When it comes to remixes, Drezo spared nothing, bringing out some of the biggest names in his arsenal, including his remixes to tracks by Dr. Dre, Tchami & Malaa, and Destructo among others.
