Gorillaz release trailer for forthcoming one-day-only documentary, out Dec. 16
Gorillaz recently announced a new documentary film, “Gorillaz: Reject False Icons,” and the virtual band has now released a trailer for the film, giving fans a look into what they can expect from the one-night-only release.
Though short, the trailer showcases clips of Gorillaz’s live performances dispersed between animated moments featuring the band’s animated characters. One thing the trailer proves is that the documentary will not be lacking in energy. Whether it’s the upbeat music to accompany the 30-second trailer or the intense guitar riffs being performed on stage, the documentary looks to be nothing short of exciting.
“Gorillaz: Reject False Icons” is directed by Denholm Hewlett, and the film will appear in theaters worldwide for one night only on Monday, Dec. 16. The documentary will focus on the making of the band’s fifth studio album, Humanz, and sixth studio album, The Now Now, and their respective touring.
