In 2018, Morales launched DIRIDIM Records to develop new talent and release his own music, spanning classic house to contemporary electronic styles. His 2022 album ‘Life Is a Song,’ produced during lockdown, featured collaborations with Mr. V., Blakkat, and Elle Cato, topping Traxsource’s album chart.

Adapting to the pandemic in 2020, Morales launched Sunday Mass, a popular Twitch livestream. Post-pandemic, he resumed performing at prestigious international venues. Recent releases like ‘Be Somebody’ with Romina Johnson, the ‘Celebrate’ album, and the upcoming ‘Do You Believe’ with Antoinette Dunleavy (November 22nd, 2024) showcase his ongoing innovation.

In 2024, Morales continues his summer residency at Ibiza’s legendary Pikes Hotel. His Sunday Mass parties in New York, held in clubs and on boats, demonstrate his enduring influence on house music. He’s releasing ‘Sunday Mass Vol. 1,’ the first in a new LP series, with more installments planned. 2024 promises to be one of Morales’s most productive years, with numerous new projects and releases on the horizon.

To celebrate his latest release, David Morales has curated a special list of his top 10 favorite mixes—a testament to his musical legacy.

1. Jamiroquai – Space Cowboy (David Morales Classic Club Remix)

“This is one of my most creative remixes that I have ever done. I changed the tempo and the arrangement. It was never arranged as a song for the clubs and radio.”

2. Mariah Carey – Dream Lover (Def Club Remix)

“This was the first time that an artist went into the studio and re-recorded the song in a whole other key. This put Mariah Carey on the club map.”

3. Shabba Ranks – Mr. Loverman (David Morales Remix)

“I was asked to take this song which was a dancehall song and make a pop song that can crossover. It was Shabba’s biggest hit.”

4. Alison Limerick – Where Love Lives  (David Morales & Fk Remix)

“This song I hold very dear to my heart. It was one of the first songs that both me and the late Frankie Knuckles remixed together.”

5. David Morales Presents The Face  – Needin’ U

“The success of this track was so unexpected. I did this as a DJ tool, I never intended to even releasing it. It became a global club anthem.”

6. David Morales & Antoinette Dunleavy – Alive (Stereo Anthem Mix)

“This song has so much emotion. The lyrics are very powerful.”

7. David Morales Feat Lea Lorien – How Would U Feel (Stereo Anthem)

“This song is about a relationship that I had. A moment in time.”

8. Robert Owens – I’ll Be Your Friend (Original Mix)

“We recorded the vocals in the bathroom in my apartment. Proper raw sound.”

9. Urban Soul – Show Me (Def Club Mix)

“This was the first remix that I recorded and added new vocals to create the top line ‘Show Me’.

10. U2 – Lemon (Bad Yard Club Remix)

“This one of the most eclectic remixes that I have ever done. U2 ended up sending me a case of champagne to say thank you.”
