Kygo taps Zara Larsson and Tyga for first single from forthcoming album
Kygo has released new original, “Like It is,” featuring Zara Larsson and Tyga. It’s the first single from the Norwegian producer’s upcoming third album, Golden Hour, out Sony Music International/Ultra Records/RCA Records.
The intro of the song features enamoring vocals by Larsson, immediately pulling the listener into the catchy commercial fabric of the single. It falls into a radio-friendly tropical house release, leaving the listener believing they have another summer-time Kygo pop single to play by the pool. A surprising set of rap vocals, courtesy of Tyga, jump in after the first drop, giving the release an unexpected twist.
The video features both Larsson and Tyga, who sing with angst throughout an apartment building. The video gives an artistic and colorful visual accompaniment to the single’s compelling audio.
