MEMBA foreshadow new EP with opalescent offering, 'Inevitable' – EDM All Day
ODESZA‘s Foreign Family Collective continues to adorn its already effervescent roster. Jai Wolf, Big Wild, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and MEMBA, are just a few of the exceedingly fresh, melody magicians to release under the FFC masthead. The last of the aforementioned, MEMBA, is a newer addition to the kaleidoscopic sound squadron, logging a handful of iridescent FFC releases this year.
The Brooklyn duo’s latest on the imprint, “Inevitable,” arrives in MEMBA’s characteristically worldly vein, with complex drum patterns, and a rousing, crescendoing synth line. Twinkling bell samples and swirling vocals run abound, affording the track a pensive, even slightly sublime effect. After all, “Inevitable” was crafted to invoke inklings of reverie and salvation.
“The song is about the inevitable end we all face, and how this can be a motivator to live better now, rather than something to fear,” the duo writes of the offering in a recent press briefing.
The track precedes MEMBA’s new EP, SAGA-II, due out this August.
