The upcoming album appears to discover the Barbadian artist’s dancehall roots, having sifted by way of 500 tracks from varied producers trying to nab publishing credit with the pop icon. Out of the 500 songs, solely 10 will make it to the lengthy play. An unnamed supply informed Rolling Stone, “They’ve [Rihanna’s team] been having writing camps and attempting to maintain them quiet for nearly a yr and a half now. I’ve been flying to Miami, flying to L.A., chopping data nonstop for this venture.”

Three years is a very long time between album; nonetheless, when the scope is to discover roots and ship a venture meant to thrust dancehall again into the favored sphere, it’s well worth the wait.
