Watch internet sensation, California house light up in time with Skrillex's 'Bangarang' – EDM All Day
In 2011, Skrillex’s abrasive, headbanging musical style was largely seen as the cornerstone of the modern counterculture. Now, just under a decade later, era-defining rave tracks like “Bangarang” have fully evolved into family fodder.
YouTube’s Tom BetGeorge repurposed Skrillex’s EDM classic into a proper Halloween howler, choreographing a neighborhood worth of holiday decorations for a light show that’s got viral buzz written all over it. A choir of jack-o-lanterns leads to a stunning display that manages to be half rave, half Halloween, and a complete headache for neighbors—depending whom you ask.
In attempts at neighborly altruism, the “Bangarang” house only operates for two hours a night on weekends “to minimize traffic in the neighborhood,” and dually serves as a fundraiser for the McHenry House, a family shelter in Tracy, California.
Also included in the two-hour set are choreographed light performances to “Chop Suey,” as well as the themes to Stranger Things and Ghostbusters. The BetGeorge Christmas show starts on December 13, for more details visit Magical Light Shows‘ Facebook page.
